WHITE WINE SAUCE BASE

Prep/Cooking Time: 30-45 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 750g Yellow onions
  • 20g Garlic
  • 2ltr White wine
  • 2ltr Heavy cream
  • 8 Sprigs of Thyme

Instructions

  • Peel the onions and garlic
  • Finely chop the onions and garlic
  • Place in a thick bottom pan
  • Add to the pan the Thyme and white wine
  • Bring to the boil and reduce to 1/3
  • Once reduced add the cream
  • Bring to the boil and simmer
  • Reduce to 1/2
  • Remove from the heat and leave to cool
  • Reserve ion the fridge till needed
