MACKEREL PATE

Prep/Cooking Time: 15-30 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 500g Smoked mackerel
  • 200g Creme fraiche
  • 20g Capers
  • 25-35ml Lemon juice
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 5g Tarragon

 

Instructions

  • Remove the skin from the smoked mackeral and check for any bones
  • Place the flesh in a bowl and break apart with a fork
  • Once the fish is broken up check once again for bones
  • Now add to the bowl the creme fraiche and the lemon juice
  • Stir in with a fork and add the chopped tarragon & roughly chopped capers
  • Stir in and season to taste
  • To serve spoon onto a crisp bread or crostini
  • Serve immediately
