FLAMED PEPPERS

 Ingredients

  • 8 Bell peppers
  • 30ml Olive oil (more to cover after cooking)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  • Turn on a high gas on the stove
  • Place the peppers directly in the flames
  • Cook till the skin starts to char
  • Char on all surfaces
  • The pepper should now be completely black
  • Place the peppers into a bowl and drizzle with the olive oil
  • Season well with the salt and pepper making sure the peppers are evenly seasoned
  • Tightly cover with clingfilm
  • Leave the peppers to cool
  • Once cool peel away the charred skin
  • Remove the core and the seeds 
  • Now either cut the peppers as desired or leave whole
  • Place in a clean jar and cover with olive oil
