BEEF SKEWERS

Ingredients

  • 500g Beef sirloin
  • 15g Oregano
  • 15g Parsley
  • 2 Cloves garlic
  • 1/2 Red onion
  • 10g White wine vinegar
  • 25g Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  • Trim the beef and remove any fat or sinue
  • Cut the beef into strips roughly 4" in length 
  • Pick the herbs and wash under cold running water
  • Dry off the herbs and roughly chop
  • Peel the garlic and onion and roughly chop
  • Add the chopped herbs, onion and garlic to the beef strips
  • Add the vinegar and olive oil and mix well
  • Leave to marinate for at least 2 hours (overnight is best)
  • After marinating place the beef on the skewers and reserve in the fridge till needed

To serve

  • Remove the beef from the fridge and season well with the salt and pepper
  • Pre heat a pan and heat a little oil
  • Add the beef to the hot pan being careful as it will spit
  • Cook for roughly 1-2 minutes on each side
  • Once cooked reserve till needed
  • Serve at room temperature
