Printable Version

Ingredients

  • 80g All purpose flour
  • 15g dehydrated chicken powder
  • 6g Onion powder
  • 6g Garlic powder
  • 2g Dried thyme
  • 7g Salt
  • 1g Black pepper

Instructions

  • Place all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix through
  • Decant the mix into jars for storage

To use

  • Once the turkey is cooked remove from the oven and leave to stand for 2-3 minutes in the cooking pan
  • After 2-3 minutes remove the turkey from the pan and tip to drain out all the fat and juices
  • Place the turkey on a serving plate and cover with foil, also cover with a kitchen towel to retain the heat for resting
  • Place the cooking pan over a medium heat and bring it to the boil (carefully it will spit)
  • Once bubbling add to the pan a spoon of the gravy mix, add a little at a time till all the fat is absorbed
  • Once absorbed cook for 1-2 minutes scraping the bottom of the pan to release any bits and pieces
  • Now gradually add to the pan some water, add the water a little at a time whilst constantly stirring
  • The sauce will almost immediately thicken
  • Once the required pouring consistency is achieved remove from the heat and transfer to a serving jug
