TOMATO SAUCE

Prep/Cooking Time: 60-90 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 250g Yellow onion
  • 10g Garlic
  • 1000g Canned tomato
  • 75ml Olive oil

Instructions

  • Peel the onion and garlic
  • Finely slice the onion and garlic
  • Pour the olive oil into a thick bottom pan
  • Place the pan over a medium gas and add to it the onions and garlic
  • Cook slowly till the onions begin to soften
  • Once softened they will begin to color
  • At this point add the canned tomatoes
  • Bring to the boil then turn down to a simmer
  • Cook for 1.5 hours
  • Remove from the heat and blend
  • Cool
  • Refrigerate till needed
