SALTED ALMONDS

Ingredients

  • 1 kilo blanched almonds
  • 1 egg white
  • 20g salt

Instructions

  • Pre-heat the oven to 350f
  • Crack the egg and separate the white from the yolk (give yolk to pastry)
  • Place the egg white in a bowl and whisk for a minute
  • Add to the whipped whites the almonds and mix through well
  • Add to the bowl the salt and again mix well
  • Pour onto a papered oven tray and bake in the pre-heated oven for 12-20 minutes or until golden
  • Remove from the oven and leave to cool naturally
  • Once cooled place in and air tight container till needed
