PEAR PICKLE

Ingredients

  • 900g Pears
  • 200g Sugar
  • 600g Red wine vinegar

Instructions

  • Peel the pears and remove the cores
  • Dice the pears into roughly 1cm pieces
  • Place the pear in a thick bottom pan
  • Add to the pan the sugar and vinegar
  • Bring to the boil
  • Turn down to a simmer
  • Cook until all the liquid has evaporated and the pear is tender
  • Remove from the heat and cool Reserve in the fridge till needed
