MEATBALLS

Ingredients

  • 700g Ground pork
  • 700g Ground beef
  • 200g Panko crumbs
  • 300g Milk
  • 4 Eggs
  • 3 Cloves garlic
  • 100g Parmesan
  • 20g Salt
  • 10g Pepper
  • 8g Thyme
  • 8g Rosemary
  • 2 Lemons
  • 2 cans Copped tomatoes
  • 2 White onions
  • 100ml Olive oil
  • 1/2 Bunch basil

Instructions

  • Take the white onions and remove the skins
  • Roughly chop and place in a thick bottom pan with 100ml olive oil
  • Cook over a low gas till the onions soften
  • Now add to the pan the canned tomatoes and basil
  • Cook over a low gas for 1.5 hours
  • Im a large bowl place the ground pork and beef
  • In a separate bowl place the milk and panko crumbs to soak
  • Now finely chop the garlic and the herbs
  • Remove the zest from the lemons
  • Next combine all ingredients and mix together well
  • Once well mixed portion into evenly sized balls roughly 45g each
  • Once balled deep fry till golden brown
  • Once browned add to the sauce and cook through
  • Roughly 30-45 minutes
  • Remove from the heat and cool
  • Reheat to order
