MACARONS
Prep/Cooking Time:
15-30 Minutes
Ingredients
- 112g Desiccated coconut
- 70g Sugar
- 30g Flour
- 1g Salt
- 2 Egg whites
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 60g Dark chocolate
Instructions
- Place all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl
- Using a spatula mix together well so all ingredients are incorporated into a thick but crumbly paste
- Once well mixed spoon the mix onto a lined baking sheet
- Place in a pre heated oven at 180c for 10-12 minutes
- Once cooker they should be golden on the outside but softer in the middle
- Leave to cool naturally
- When the macarons are nearly cool melt the chocolate over a steam bath
- Once melted and the macarons are cool dip them into the chocolate and place on a tray to set
- Serve immediately or keep in an air tight container till needed
