HUMMUS

Ingredients
- 1 can chick peas
- 1 tbsp tahini
- 2 lemons juiced
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Open the can of chick peas and drain the juice into a separate bowl, keep as you will need the liquid
- Roughly chop the clove of garlic and add to the chick peas
- Also add to the chick peas the spices, salt, pepper and lemon juice
- Pour half the liquid back in with the chick peas
- Now with a stick blender or food processor pulse till a puree is achieved (if the puree is too thick add more liquid back in a little at a time till a consistency that suits you is reached)
- Check the seasoning to your own taste and add more if needed
- Reserve in the fridge till needed
- Serve with toasted bread or raw vegetables
