GREEN BEANS WITH BROWN BUTTER
Prep/Cooking Time: 15-30 Minutes

- 500g green beans
- 200g onion
- 40g olive oil
- 60g butter
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- Fill a thick bottomed pan with water and season well
- Bring to the boil
- Top and tail the green beans and remove any imperfections
- Once the water has boiled add the beans and cook till to the bite
- Once cooked cool in iced water and reserve in the fridge till needed
- Finely dice the onion
- Heat a sautee pan on the stove and add to it the olive oil
- Add the chopped onions to the pan and sautee till starting to turn golden
- Once the onions are ready add to the pan the butter
- Whilst the butter is melting re-heat the beans
- Once the butter has melted and is starting to turn brown add the beans to the pan
- Toss through and season with the salt and pepper
- Transfer to a serving dish
