GRATINATED POTATOES (ANY SWISS CHEESE OR CHEDDAR)

Prep/Cooking Time: Longer Than 120 Minutes

Ingredients 

  • 500g Potatoes
  • 2 Pieces Garlic
  • 40ml Olive oil
  • 300ml Cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 150g cheese (swiss or cheddar)
  • 50g Parmesan

Instructions

  • Peel the potatoes and the garlic
  • By hand slice the potatoes as thinly as possible
  • Finely slice the garlic
  • Pour the oil into a pan and heat till hot
  • Add to the pan the sliced potatoes and garlic
  • Cook till the potato starts to colour
  • Add to the pan the cream and bring to the boil
  • Once boiled add to the pan the grated cheese and the parmesan
  • Season to taste with the salt and pepper
  • Pour the potato and cream mix into a baking dish
  • Place in the oven covered with foil at 160c
  • Cook for 2 hours or until the potato is tender
  • Once cooked remove the foil and bake further at 180c to colour the top

To serve scoop into a serving dish
