FRIED CHICKEN

Prep/Cooking Time: Longer Than 120 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 400g chicken leg
  • 40g Piri Piri marinade
  • 160g greek yoghurt
  • 40g lemon juice
  • 10g paprika
  • 120g flour
  • 10g salt
  • 30g cornflour

Instructions

  • Debone the chicken legs and cut into 1" wide strips
  • Place in a bowl with the Piri Piri marinate and leave over night
  • In the morning add to the chicken the yoghurt and lemon juice
  • Leave to marinade for minimum 2 hours
  • Place the flour, cornflour, salt and paprika in a mixing bowl
  • Mix well
  • Take the chicken and dip into the seasoned flour
  • Once well coated place in the pre-heated fryer at 180c
  • Cook till golden and crispy
  • Remove from the oil and drain off any excess
  • Season with salt and serve

Top with some sliced green onions and sliced red chili

Serve with syrup on the side
