CHURROS
Prep/Cooking Time:
15-30 Minutes
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3 eggs beaten
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Place the water and butter in a thick bottomed pan
- Bring to the boil and remove from the heat
- In a machine mixing bowl place the flour, baking powder and salt
- Place on the mixer and add the water to the flour and whisk together
- Crack the eggs into a bowl and remove any shell
- Break the eggs with a fork
- Once the flour and water mix has combined slowly add the egg
- Mix till well incorporated
- Once completed transfer to a piping bag with a medium star nozzle
- When ready to serve pipe the batter into 4" long pieces
- Cook till golden brown
- Remove from the oil and drain
- Combine the sugar and cinnamon
- Toss the churros in the cinnamon sugar and serve immediately with chocolate sauce
