CHEESE AND HAM TOASTED SANDWICH

Ingredients

  • 2 Slices white bloomer
  • 80g Cheddar cheese
  • 40g Gammon ham
  • 12g Dijon mustard
  • 40g Butter
  • 20ml Olive oil
  • 45g Mixed leaf salad
  • 5g Lemon juice
  • 5g Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  • Butter both sides of both pieces of bread
  • Spread one side of both slices with Dijon mustard
  • Lay cheddar on both sides which have mustard
  • On top of one side of cheddar add the ham
  • Close the sandwich with buttered sides facing out
  • Heat the olive oil in a pan and add to the pan the sandwich
  • Cook over a medium heat until golden brown
  • Turn the sandwich and place the pan in the oven at 180
  • Cook for 4 minutes
  • Remove from the oven and pat dry any excess oil
  • Cut the sandwich diagonally and place on the serving plate
  • Toss the salad leaves with the lemon juice and olive oil
  • Season and serve on the plate with the toasted sandwich
