CHARRED HALOUMI

Ingredients

  • 1 Sesame burger bun
  • 100g Haloumi
  • 7g Garlic
  • 2g Rosemary
  • 1g Thyme
  • 10ml Olive oil
  • 35g Pickled mushrooms
  • 30g Tomato
  • 25g Cabbage
  • 1 slice Cheese (optional)
  • 5g Butter
  • 120g French fries
  • 1/2 Dill pickle

Instructions

  • Slice the Haloumi into 1/2" pieces
  • Pick and roughly chop the rosemary, thyme and garlic
  • Place the haloumi in a dish along with the herbs and garlic
  • Add a generous amount of olive oil and leave to marinate for at least 6 hours
  • To serve 
  • Cut the bun and spread with butter
  • Place on the griddle along with the seasoned haloumi
  • Cook till the bun is toasted and the haloumi is golden
  • Place the bun on the plate and add the "club cabbage and tomato"
  • Add to the bun the haloumi and a spoon of the pickled mushrooms
  • Top with the bun lid and C stick
  • Serve with French fries and Dill pickle
