BUTTER LOAF / BURGER BUN
Prep/Cooking Time: 60-90 Minutes

- 50g Egg
- 290g Milk
- 50g Butter
- 60g Sugar
- 630g Flour
- 10g Salt
- 20g Yeast
- 1 Egg
Instructions
- Place the dry ingredients in a small machine bowl with a dough hook
- Place the milk in a pan to warm to about body temperature
- Crack the egg and whisk with a fork, reserve
- Melt the butter and reserve
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix till a smooth dough is achieved
- Mix for 4 minutes
- Remove from the machine and cover with a damp cloth
- Leave till doubled in size
- Turn out the dough onto a flat dry surface
- Portion and shape as required
- For a loaf place in the oiled tin and cover wth the damp cloth
- Leave to rise over the top of the pan
- For buns place on a tray and cover with a damp cloth
- Prove till doubled in size
- Beat the egg and brush the tops
- Cook in a preheated oven at 360f
- Loaf will take 40+ minutes whereas buns will take 20-25 minutes
